Here's another image from my adventure with the Aperture Academy's Yosemite Winter Workshop.
Some of the students went to get close to the base of the falls, and so I followed them to help out if needed. I'm sure glad I did because this scene was what was awaiting me.
I held my ground waiting for the morning glow to take over the cliffs next to this emerald green pool.
Six years previously in the hot weather of a mid October day I swam at the base of this waterfall… and it was cold. I dare not even think how cold this pool was.
